Role overview
This position plays a key part in carrying out audits for capital projects, with emphasis on cost control, commercial governance, contract management, and project delivery. It also involves assessing project workflows, spotting potential risks, and checking whether activities align with approved procedures and contractual commitments. In addition, the role contributes to audit documentation and works closely with stakeholders involved in the projects.
Key responsibilities
- Support and carry out internal audit work for development projects and the related business processes.
- Review adherence to company policies, regulatory obligations, and contractual terms.
- Detect control weaknesses and risk areas, suggest corrective measures, and track audit issues until actions are completed.
- Work alongside project teams, leadership, and other stakeholders to strengthen risk management and internal control practices.
- Draft clear audit reports and communicate conclusions to senior management.
- Contribute to improving audit methods and tools so audits become more effective and efficient.
- Stay informed on current industry practices, standards, and regulatory updates relevant to development audit work.
Requirements
The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a similar discipline. Candidates should bring more than 4 years of experience in capital projects, quantity surveying, cost management, project controls, and commercial management. Hands-on exposure to tendering, BOQs, IPC reviews, variation orders, contract administration, quantity take-offs, and project cost reporting in large-scale development or construction settings is required.
