About the internship

Join an AI-focused EdTech engineering team as a Backend Development Intern and help build backend systems that are secure, scalable, and performant. What you will do

• Build and support backend services with Django and Django REST Framework.
• Create, improve, and maintain REST APIs for mobile and web products.
• Work with PostgreSQL, including schema management and performance-focused SQL queries.
• Apply client-server concepts, along with authentication and authorization logic.
• Connect third-party APIs and cloud-based services whenever needed.
• Deploy, observe, and maintain applications on AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Use Git and GitHub for version control and team collaboration.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented backend code.
• Investigate bugs, resolve issues, and improve application performance.
• Take part in code reviews, technical discussions, and agile development workflows.
• Learn and apply system design fundamentals, scalable architecture, and backend best practices.

Who can apply

This role is open to candidates who can work remotely, are able to begin between 3 July 2026 and 7 August 2026, and can commit to a 6-month internship. Applicants should also have relevant skills and interest in backend development.

Additional requirements

• Recent graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or other relevant technical fields are preferred.
• Candidates should be available for a full-time remote internship lasting at least 4-6 months.
• Applicants should be eager to experiment, build prototypes, and solve real user problems.
• Interest in creating real-world mobile applications and working in an agile, startup-style team environment is important.

Stipend

The internship offers a monthly stipend of INR 9,000 to INR 10,000.
