Role overview

Spirit Ridge is hiring Bartenders for both full-time and part-time schedules across its outlets, including The Bear, The Fish, The Root, and The Berry. This role is part of a lively, varied team environment at Spirit Ridge Resort in Osoyoos, British Columbia.

About the location

The resort sits on the traditional territory of the Osoyoos Indian Band in Osoyoos, in the center of wine country. The property offers a distinctive work setting with a golf course, two pools, beachfront water sports, an onsite winery, and a First Nations cultural center. It is also located in what is described as the warmest area in Canada, close to orchards, wineries, breweries, and the country’s warmest lake.

Key duties

• Make alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for guests at the bar and in the restaurant.
• Welcome customers, take their orders, and serve beverages and light snacks.
• Understand guest preferences and suggest suitable drink options.
• Combine ingredients to craft cocktails and other mixed drinks.
• Verify identification to ensure guests meet the legal age requirement for alcohol service.
• Keep bar stock, tools, and supplies replenished and organized.
• Maintain a guest-first approach and contribute to a strong overall experience.
• Follow all applicable food and beverage safety and service regulations.
• Hold a valid Serve-it-Right certification.
