Bid Manager

Role Overview

First Access Consulting is hiring a Bid Manager in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on leading end-to-end tender and bid activities, coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders, and ensuring that submissions are complete, compliant, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of bid preparation and submission, making sure all client instructions, tender conditions, and deadlines are met.
• Work closely with sales, finance, technical, and legal teams to collect all inputs needed for the bid.
• Handle the submission workflow on tendering portals such as Etimad and SAP Ariba, ensuring documents are accurate and uploaded correctly.
• Examine bid packs to confirm completeness, correctness, and consistency with customer expectations.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to develop IoT architecture proposals, connectivity solutions including 5G, LPWAN, and satellite, as well as AI and data platforms, command and control center integration, and cybersecurity approaches.
• Assess whether proposed solutions are feasible and ready for delivery.
• Make sure all submissions meet legal, contractual, and regulatory obligations.
• Respond to client questions about bid requirements and help ensure expectations are clearly understood.
• Carry out basic market research to spot relevant opportunities and collect competitor insights.
• Share feedback and lessons learned to help improve future bid quality and efficiency.
• Support the formatting, proofreading, and final polishing of bid documents for a professional finish.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related discipline is required; a master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• PMP or APMP certification will be considered an advantage.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in bidding is expected, ideally within the same industry or a related sector.
• Hands-on experience with Etimad and other tender portals such as SAP Ariba is strongly preferred.
• Strong command of Arabic and English, both spoken and written, is needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, is required.
• Experience in bid formatting, document layout, and presentation is a plus.
• The candidate should have excellent organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage several bids at once and work effectively under strict deadlines is important.
• Good coordination and communication abilities across different teams are essential.
