Biomedical Engineer

Job Summary

This role focuses on technical service and customer support for medical and laboratory equipment. The engineer will respond promptly to service requests, help keep equipment running reliably, and support customer satisfaction through strong reporting and timely maintenance. The position covers corrective repairs, scheduled preventive servicing, and equipment installation work.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and configure laboratory instruments, especially CDG equipment, according to technical specifications and laboratory needs.
• Carry out routine servicing such as calibration and fine adjustments to preserve accuracy and dependable performance.
• Detect, troubleshoot, and fix technical faults quickly to reduce downtime and keep CDG instruments functioning without interruption.
• Apply preventive maintenance practices to reduce the chance of breakdowns and extend equipment life.
• Work closely with laboratory teams to understand operational needs, provide technical assistance, and train users on correct instrument handling.
• Keep clear records of installations, maintenance work, and fault resolution activities for compliance and ongoing improvement.
• Monitor developments in laboratory technology and share ideas on possible upgrades or improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on background in installing, maintaining, and repairing laboratory instruments, with particular exposure to CDG instruments.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
• Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective coordination with lab personnel.
• Comfort working with changing technologies and in a fast-moving laboratory setting.

Education and Registration

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or a related discipline.
• Saudi Council of Engineers registration is required.

Experience

• At least 1 year of relevant experience is needed.
• Experience with laboratory equipment is preferred and considered an advantage.
• Basic networking knowledge will be an added benefit.
