Role overview

This position is suited to finance and accounting specialists who enjoy demanding work in a fully remote setting. In this role, you will contribute to the finance operations of a global SaaS company and help support the broader financial performance of the business.

What you will do

You will be responsible for keeping the books accurate across more than 100 subsidiaries. The work covers the full accounting cycle, including general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, order-to-cash, payroll, and collections. You will also prepare and review journal entries, complete reconciliations, and handle finance allocations across different departments and subsidiaries.

This is a fast-moving role with varied and mentally engaging tasks. It is designed for someone who wants to stretch their finance capabilities, gain exposure to multiple accounting disciplines, and work closely with a global SaaS organization.

Qualifications and expectations

The ideal candidate should bring a professional finance background and be comfortable working in a high-responsibility, remote environment. The role also requires experience with modern accounting systems and the ability to manage shift-based working hours.

Additional requirements

• CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, or an MBA is required.
• You should have at least 3 years of professional experience in finance.
• Practical exposure is needed in Accounts Payable (or PTP), Accounts Receivable (or OTC), Accounting (or RTR), and Statutory/Management Reporting.
• Prior hands-on experience with NetSuite is required.
• You must have used generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Bing, Claude, or Bard in a professional setting.
• Availability for 12-hour shifts, 3 or 4 times per week, is necessary.

Location

The position is based in Nairobi, Nairobi County, Kenya, but the work arrangement is fully remote.
