Role summary

The Chief Data Officer will shape and drive the company’s overall data direction in a full-time remote position. This leader will be accountable for enterprise data governance, data management, and data quality practices so that data remains dependable, protected, and compliant. The role also includes guiding data science and analytics efforts that convert complex information into practical insights for investment teams, portfolio support functions, and internal operations.

What you will do

• Set the company-wide data strategy and translate it into clear execution plans.
• Own frameworks for data governance, data management, and data quality across the organization.

• Build, develop, and mentor data teams while defining priorities and delivery goals.

What we are looking for

• Deep experience in data governance and data management, including the design of policies, standards, and operating frameworks that support secure, compliant, and responsible data use.
• Strong command of data quality methods and data science techniques such as validation, modeling, and advanced analytics.
• Ability to analyze complex data, build dashboards or reports, and present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Background in leading data organizations, including cross-functional team management, prioritization, and delivery of large-scale data initiatives.
• Familiarity with modern data architecture, cloud-based data platforms, and business intelligence tools used in financial or investment settings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and support organizational change.
• A proven history of success in a senior data leadership role; experience in private equity, venture capital, or broader financial services is a strong advantage.
• Advanced degree in data science, computer science, statistics, information systems, business analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
