The Civil & Infrastructure division is expanding quickly, and the Brisbane team is hiring an experienced Civil Site Supervisor because of major project wins, internal promotions, and a strong pipeline of future tenders.

Role overview

This position suits a hands-on supervisor with a solid track record across civil and infrastructure work. You should be confident leading site activity, working with engineers and subcontractors, and taking responsibility for delivery when required with limited direction.

What you will do

• Check sites regularly to make sure quality and safety standards are being met.
• Coordinate subcontractors on site and manage day-to-day site operations.
• Oversee teams made up of supervisors, labourers, and subcontractors.
• Work independently when needed while also coordinating internal and external resources.
• Help deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Provide regular progress updates to the project team and subcontractors.
• Keep daily records and site diaries, and support engineering staff with cost and productivity tracking.
• Manage relationships between trades so subcontracted work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Deal with clients and stakeholders in a professional way that protects the company’s reputation.
• Take part in WHS inspections and investigations into incidents and injuries, helping maintain a safe workplace.
• Ensure environmental controls are suitable, implemented, monitored, and reviewed.
• Review subcontractor and supplier scopes of work and contribute input where needed.
• Arrange timely completion of defect rectification work.
• Join lessons learned sessions and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.

About you

You bring at least 3 years of experience in a similar civil construction role and have worked closely with engineering teams while also being capable of running a site with minimal supervision. You should have strong knowledge of civil works, clear communication skills, and the confidence to lead, motivate, and keep work moving toward time and financial targets.

Required experience and capability

• Background in civil construction with at least 3 years in a similar supervisory position.
• Practical experience across earthworks, flexible and rigid pavements, buried services, structural concrete, landscaping, and other civil/infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read, understand, review, and work to drawings and specifications.
• Self-driven, quality-focused, and attentive to cost control.
• Relevant civil industry background and competencies.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to lead and encourage team members.
• Understanding of the importance of meeting time and budget objectives.
• Comfort using computers, mobile devices, and work apps such as Procore.
