About UCBEnvironmental
UCBEnvironmental is a group of businesses built around the idea of Sustainable Sustainability™. Its divisions include UsedCardboardBoxes.com, UCBPalletSolutions, UCBOrganicWaste, UCBTrading, and UCBZeroWaste. The company works with some of the country’s most recognized brands.
UCBZeroWaste provides a fully managed waste-reduction program. Rather than acting as a hauler, the team manages haulers on behalf of clients. Their approach focuses on reducing waste at the source inside the building and improving how waste is handled outside the building. Services can include waste reduction, recycling, reuse, resale, de-packaging, digesting, composting, and waste-to-energy solutions. A no-cost waste audit is offered to help identify both financial and environmental savings opportunities.
Role Overview
The Client Success Manager owns the corporate relationship for assigned enterprise accounts after the contract is signed. This is a high-accountability, proactive position centered on retention, growth, and alignment with executive stakeholders rather than daily site-level implementation.
The role is responsible for protecting the client relationship, keeping the program on track, and ensuring that corporate and plant-level teams stay aligned with the agreed scope. It includes leading the communication rhythm, identifying risks early, and coordinating internal teams to solve problems quickly. Strong performance in this role helps clients renew, expand their programs, and view the manager as a key partner in their success.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with corporate stakeholders in ESG, Procurement, Operations, and executive leadership.
- Track account performance continuously to identify risks, remove obstacles, and spot opportunities for expansion.
- Work closely with Implementation Managers and Sustainability PMs to align on metrics, initiatives, and client communications.
- Prepare and present reporting, sustainability data, and insights that support ESG objectives and strengthen internal client buy-in.
- Plan and run Quarterly Business Reviews, semi-annual impact reviews, and annual account strategy meetings.
- Collect and evaluate client satisfaction survey results, then turn feedback into practical action.
- Find expansion opportunities through new site launches, pilot programs, internal events, and co-marketing opportunities.
- Keep documentation current in WATER so internal teams have accurate and consistent account information.
- Act as the escalation contact for urgent issues and drive resolution with speed and professionalism.
Experience and Skills
- At least 4–5+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or Strategic Partnerships, ideally with enterprise or multi-site clients managing programs worth millions of dollars.
- Background supporting sustainability, ESG, Zero Waste, or shared-savings initiatives is a strong advantage.
- Proven success working across Implementation, Sustainability, Operations, and Business Development teams.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Comfort using CRM platforms and maintaining detailed records.
- Exposure to waste and recycling, supply chain, or sustainability consulting is preferred.
