직무 설명

About the Company

Nomad Atomics develops and deploys practical quantum sensing technologies for real-world use. The business is pushing commercial quantum sensing forward and is building solutions intended to tackle difficult sensing challenges in major industries.

The team is ambitious, fast-moving, and focused on turning advanced technology into market-ready products. This role is part of that growth journey.

Role Overview

The company is hiring an operations manager who can strengthen the way the organisation runs by creating scalable systems, coordinating across teams, and ensuring priorities are executed smoothly each day.

You will report to the COO and work closely with the founders across the business to build the operational backbone that supports rapid but sustainable growth.

What You Will Do

  • Set up and run effective operating rhythms such as weekly team check-ins, OKR reviews, and quarterly planning cycles.
  • Turn strategic direction from the founders and COO into concrete plans and follow through on delivery.
  • Track company performance indicators and bring useful insights to leadership.
  • Maintain the KPI dashboard so decision-makers have live access to the most important metrics.
  • Spot process gaps and inefficiencies, then put improvements in place.
  • Create and refine internal workflows, standard procedures, and playbooks.
  • Keep key initiatives moving by driving accountability and monitoring milestones.
  • Support preparation of board materials, investor updates, company-wide presentations, and internal newsletters, with clear and concise synthesis of complex information.

Legal, Governance, and Risk

  • Work with external legal advisers on commercial agreements, intellectual property matters, and regulatory topics.
  • Keep corporate governance documents current, including board minutes, cap table records, and shareholder agreements.
  • Help the company stay compliant with applicable rules and obligations such as export controls, insurance, and HCES.

People Operations

  • Manage the full hiring operations process, including coordination with recruiters and interview tracking.
  • Build and improve onboarding programs.
  • Handle HR administration such as offer letters, employment agreements, equity paperwork, and compliance with local employment law.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in operations, strategy, or a closely related area, ideally including work in a high-growth startup or scale-up.
  • Proven ability to create processes from the ground up and improve them quickly in uncertain, resource-limited settings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make complex ideas easy to understand for audiences ranging from engineers to investors.
  • Excellent organisational ability and experience managing several high-priority projects at once.
  • Solid analytical capability, including confidence with spreadsheets, financial modelling, and data visualisation tools.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing operations, or technology commercialisation.
  • Experience in deep-tech, quantum, robotics, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, or another research-led industry is preferred.
  • Full working rights in Australia are required.
  • The role is based in Melbourne, Australia.
  • Some work from home flexibility is available, but regular in-person collaboration with the technical team is important.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary.
  • Employee share option package.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
