Data Annotation Specialist

Overview

This contract role is for a Data Annotation Generalist working remotely at an hourly rate of $20. The position calls for a weekly commitment of 10 to 40 hours, making it suitable for someone who can adapt their availability within that range.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply labels, categories, and annotations to varied datasets with accuracy and consistency.
• Check existing annotations, verify their correctness, and fix issues to protect data quality.
• Work closely with the client’s team to understand expectations and clear up any unclear instructions.
• Keep clear documentation of annotation steps and project notes so the workflow remains traceable.
• Share suggestions that can improve tools, workflows, and annotation guidelines.
• Adjust quickly to new datasets, changing instructions, and different annotation tasks.

Requirements

• Prior hands-on experience in data annotation, labeling, or preparing data for machine learning use cases.
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy and quality.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to collaborate clearly.
• Ability to understand complex instructions and apply them reliably across large volumes of data.
• Familiarity with annotation tools or platforms used in AI or data science workflows.
