About the organization
Sevita, through its ResCare Community Living division, delivers person-centered support that helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live more independently, both at home and in their communities. What the role involves
- Provide hands-on care and encouragement to help individuals grow, learn, and live well.
- Build genuine, supportive relationships with the people you assist.
- Use good judgment and initiative to support each participant’s best interests.
- Help individuals participate in community activities and enjoy the things they like most.
- Support developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
- Assist with personal hygiene and day-to-day care needs.
- Work with individuals who may have behavioral challenges or other complex support needs.

What you need
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- At least six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
- Strong communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management abilities.
- A patient, compassionate, dependable, and responsible approach.
- A valid driver’s license plus access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
