About the role
TasNetworks is expanding quickly as it delivers upgrades to Tasmania’s electricity network and supports the state’s shift toward renewable energy. This opening sits within the Works Delivery team in Devonport and suits experienced Distribution Lineworkers, Live Lineworkers, or Dual Trade Lineworkers who want meaningful, hands-on work with long-term impact.
The position involves building, maintaining, and restoring the electricity network so homes and businesses continue to receive safe and reliable power. You will be expected to respond to faults, carry out compliant field work, and communicate clearly with coworkers, customers, and the wider community.
Base pay starts from $105,807 and can reach $122,117 per year, before overtime and superannuation. The final package will be discussed with the preferred candidate depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Qualifications and licences
- Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems
- Tasmanian Electrical Practitioner’s Licence, or the ability to obtain it
- High Risk Work Licence for Dogging, Vehicle Loading Crane, and EWP, or the ability to obtain it
- Live Line accreditation, or a willingness to gain it
- White Card, First Aid, and Medium Rigid Licence, or the ability to obtain them
- For Dual Trade Lineworkers: Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, or an equivalent qualification

Applicants must hold Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a current valid visa that allows them to meet the requirements of the role. Successful candidates will also need to complete the required pre-employment checks.
