The position plays a key part in leading the day-to-day performance of 19 retail and outlet stores, working alongside three Area Managers.

The District Manager will help recruit and train store managers, establish store-level goals, and ensure targets are reached. The role also involves building a strong team culture, improving store KPIs through coaching, and partnering with the VP of Retail on growth strategy, customer experience, and profitability improvement. Success in this role depends on using performance data and analytics to guide decisions and drive results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth while managing regional expense, payroll, and SG&A budgets.
  • Review how effectively goals and objectives are being met and adjust plans as needed.
  • Run district meetings centered on sales targets and execution plans.
  • Contribute to company policies, operating standards, training programs, and leadership development.
  • Recruit, develop, motivate, and retain a high-performing team.

  • Support and empower Area Managers to deliver results, strengthen accountability, and build leadership capability.
  • Make sure Store Managers are planning appropriately and acting on company expectations and standards.
  • Support the VP of Retail in opening new stores.
  • Oversee payroll reporting together with the Retail Operations Manager.
  • Partner with the VP of Retail to review store operations and identify improvements in sales, inventory, systems, onboarding, productivity, and culture.
  • Work with Area Managers and Store Managers on payroll-related tasks, including new hire approvals, employee changes, and timely HR communication.
  • Set and refresh retail sales goals in line with approved budgets, then communicate them to the team.
  • Ensure the team clearly understands daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, including how they affect sales, profitability, costs, and staffing.
  • Keep staff informed about product updates, offers, and promotions.
  • Handle special projects and other duties assigned by the VP of Retail.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, retail management, or a closely related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading multi-unit retail operations.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking ability, including solving complex, layered problems.
  • Excellent organization and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive, collaborative leadership style.
  • A clear commitment to operational excellence.
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high self-motivation.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Benefits

  • Retirement benefits including 401(k) and IRA, with company match up to 6%.
  • Basic, voluntary, and AD&D life insurance.
  • Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and public holidays.
