Equity Dealer

Role overview

This position is for an Equity Dealer with HDFC securities in Bengaluru. The role focuses on generating brokerage-driven revenue, managing customer relationships, supporting compliant trade execution, and maintaining accurate records and coordination across internal teams.

Revenue generation and target delivery

• Work toward assigned targets by driving brokerage income through trading activities.
• Support additional revenue by selling third-party products.

Compliance and control

• Follow the dealing room conduct standards set by HSL.
• Use the required internal workflows and systems correctly at all times.
• Keep VRS records up to date for every trade.
• Respect the applicable code of conduct and anti-money laundering requirements.
• Ensure certifications remain valid and are renewed on time.

Client relationship management

• Visit clients and HDFC Bank branches to strengthen and sustain business relationships.
• Provide timely support and responsive service to customers.
• Share research-backed market updates and guidance on daily stock movements.
• Manage client portfolios carefully while minimizing mistakes and losses.
• Re-engage inactive clients and encourage them to become active again.

Record keeping and reporting

• Maintain all assigned customer portfolio records as per guidelines.
• Track and record all branch visits and customer visits.
• Prepare and submit the required reports to the Branch Manager.

Coordination with risk team

• Coordinate on requests related to limit enhancement.
• Support approvals for illiquid shares and T-group shares.
• Assist with collateral holds.
• Help manage pay-ins and pay-outs for securities and funds.
