Role summary
Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Finance Analyst to join its Business Support Team on a full-time basis in Ascot, England. This position is suited to an analytical and driven individual who wants to grow a career in NHS finance while contributing to accurate reporting and informed decision-making across a large healthcare organisation.
In this role, you will work within the Corporate Division and support the Business Support Accountant and Deputy Business Support Accountant with financial management, analysis, and reporting. The post offers the chance to develop practical experience in a complex environment where timely and reliable financial information is essential.
Please note that this post cannot be sponsored under the Skilled Worker route. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the UK for the entire length of the role.
Key duties
You will help prepare monthly and annual management accounts, review and explain financial variances, and work with colleagues and external partners to resolve discrepancies. The role also involves advising staff on financial matters, including sensitive or confidential issues, and supporting the processing and reconciliation of financial data such as journals, interfaces, and other finance system entries.
You will contribute to the production of reports and analysis that support operational and strategic decisions, while also helping to improve financial processes and systems over time.

Requirements and person specification
Applicants should have relevant finance experience in a large organisation, including experience maintaining accounting records and preparing management accounts. Familiarity with relevant software packages is required, and previous exposure to NHS accounting would be an advantage.
Essential qualifications include full AAT membership, meaning the exams plus a portfolio supported by at least one year of work experience, or CCAB/CIMA Certificate level, or an honours degree. A commitment to continuing with CCAB/CIMA study is desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication, good interpersonal skills, logical and analytical thinking, and the ability to explain financial matters clearly are important for success in this role. Experience of influencing, negotiating, and working across functions would be beneficial, as would willingness to travel between sites and across the health economy.
Knowledge of E Financials, Oracle Financials, and Electronic Staff Record would be an advantage.
