Role overview
An established medical staffing company is hiring an experienced Genetic Consultant to join a specialist healthcare setting in the UAE. The position may be based across Sharjah, Fujairah, or Ras Al Khaimah, supporting a service focused on genetic assessment, diagnosis, counselling, and long-term management for individuals and families with inherited conditions.
The role involves working with a multidisciplinary clinical team to strengthen precision medicine services, support genetic testing workflows, and deliver patient-centred care to a varied patient base.
Compensation
The salary offered is AED 60,000 to AED 65,000 per month, tax free.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out detailed genetic consultations and evaluate risk factors.
- Identify and manage inherited and genetic disorders.
- Review genetic test outcomes and translate them into clinical advice.
- Provide counselling support to patients and their families.
- Work in coordination with multidisciplinary teams across different specialties.
- Contribute to preventive care and screening initiatives.
- Take part in clinical governance, teaching, and service improvement activities.
Requirements
- Medical degree with a recognised specialist qualification in Clinical Genetics or Medical Genetics.
- Valid DHA or MOH licence, with the title listed as Genetic Specialist or Genetic Consultant.
- Must be eligible to practise in the UAE.
- Strong abilities in clinical assessment, communication, and patient counselling.
- Prior experience in a hospital or specialist genetics service is preferred.
