Evernote, now part of Bending Spoons, is hiring a graduate software engineer to contribute to products used by millions of people for note-taking, planning, and personal knowledge management. Depending on team needs, you may work on Evernote itself or support another product in the wider portfolio. What you will do

• Take end-to-end ownership of features and systems, from initial idea through to production, with software used at scale.
• Use AI tools throughout your workflow for design, implementation, testing, and documentation while keeping quality, reliability, and maintainability high.
• Work across a variety of technologies and architectures, selecting the right tools for the problem rather than following trends.
• Contribute to systems spanning monoliths, microservices, gRPC, REST, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and Rust.
• Continuously reduce unnecessary complexity by improving architecture, pipelines, and codebases.

Compensation

For candidates with limited experience, the typical annual salary is £85,797 in London and €66,065 elsewhere in Europe. For candidates assessed as having substantial relevant experience, typical pay ranges from £112,189 to £250,512 in London and €107,837 to €188,848 elsewhere in Europe. Exceptional candidates may be offered compensation above these ranges, depending on expected impact.

Commitment and contract

This is a permanent or fixed-term role with full-time employment. Part-time arrangements may be available at the start, with a transition to full-time as studies are completed.

Location

The role can be based in Milan, London, Madrid, Warsaw, or remote from selected approved countries. For the best onboarding experience, the company recommends spending the first few months working from the Milan office, with travel and accommodation support provided. After that, you may work from Milan or London offices, or remotely from approved countries, subject to agreement at offer stage.
