Role overview
Iceland Foods is recruiting a Home Delivery Driver in Plympton, England, United Kingdom. This position pays £13.71 per hour and is suited to someone who enjoys staying active, working on their own initiative, and dealing directly with customers.
As a Home Delivery Driver, you will be the customer-facing representative for the company on the road, responsible for delivering groceries with care and helping ensure every order reaches the customer in excellent condition.
Key responsibilities
- Follow correct loading processes for the van, including safe handling of heavier items and manual lifting.
- Drive responsibly and consistently follow safe driving standards.
- Carry out routine van checks before and during use.
- Make sure customer orders are delivered in the best possible condition.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service at every doorstep.
- Support store operations when needed.
- Work independently and manage time effectively.
- Be available for varied shift patterns between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm.
Candidate profile
- You must hold a full driving licence for at least 3 years.
- You should have no more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
- You need to be positive, approachable, and committed to giving customers a great experience.
- You should be reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines.
- A strong understanding of road safety is essential.
