Role overview
This position is for a Housekeeper at Regency Retirement Resorts. You will be part of a busy and energetic team, responsible for housekeeping and cleaning work throughout the resort in line with established procedures and standards. The role follows a 4-day work week.
Schedule and pay
Work schedule: 4 days per week
Pay rate: $20.00 per hour
Key duties
- Keep personal presentation, grooming, and conduct aligned with resort standards.
- Clean, sanitize, vacuum, dust, and wash resident suites, shared spaces, offices, and other assigned areas.
- Clean and disinfect staff and common washrooms.
- Vacuum all communal areas.
- Handle urgent or unscheduled cleaning requests as needed in a senior living environment.
- Carry out laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, stacking, and distributing items, and operate washers and dryers.
- Monitor housekeeping stock and replenish supplies to the required levels.
- Report damaged, broken, or non-functioning equipment, furniture, and fixtures to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Contribute to a positive team culture by working well with colleagues across departments.
- Protect resident and organizational confidentiality and treat residents with dignity, respect, and consideration.
- Share relevant information with the supervisor that may support residents' health, safety, and overall comfort.
- Follow company policies and procedures consistently.
- Remain courteous, patient, tactful, and friendly with residents, visitors, and coworkers.
- Support the orientation of new team members.
- Take on other related duties and multitasking tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and experience
Previous housekeeping experience is considered an advantage. WHMIS knowledge is also noted as part of the role.
Skills and abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, along with the physical and mental ability to carry out the responsibilities of the job.
