Overview
Proliant is hiring an Implementation Professional for a remote role focused on helping clients set up and use HR and payroll technology effectively. The company serves more than 6,000 customers across multiple industries in all 50 states with cloud-based people tools designed to streamline payroll, HR workflows, improve accuracy, and support compliance.

What the role involves
The Implementation Professional evaluates client requirements, understands what the software can and cannot do, and turns those needs into a functioning setup. The role also includes research, coordination, and escalation when needed to ensure successful implementation.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate implementation activities so client setups are completed on time.
- Lead welcome and survey conversations, while staying in touch with clients and internal team members throughout the rollout.
- Set practical expectations around the software and any connected hardware devices.
- Assess client needs and suggest additional features that may improve their use of the system.
- Follow internal setup standards to configure application features in a way that is simple for clients to use.
- Configure data communication links between ReadyPay Online and other products.
- Review every part of the implementation process carefully and confirm the system is ready for use.
- Coordinate with the right people and departments during the full implementation cycle.
- Support clients daily by answering product questions until they are handed over to the Support Professional team.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of time and labor products, including their functions and practical use.
- Create and modify settings such as parameters, accrual rules, and incidences.
- Investigate time system issues for both clients and internal colleagues.
- Provide professional service to clients and work collaboratively with other representatives.
- Identify problems early and propose solutions that help clients quickly meet their needs.
- Deliver a high level of customer service so clients remain satisfied.
- Stay current on payroll regulations to support compliance and any relevant certification upkeep.
- Handle additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Some college education is required, preferably with study in finance, accounting, human resources, or a related area.
- At least 5 years of experience in the payroll industry is preferred.
- Background in technical support, including networking basics and communication, is an added advantage.
- Strong ability to learn and work effectively with company software and other relevant applications.
- Self-driven, proactive, detail-oriented, and dependable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort handling sensitive or serious conversations.
- Ability to manage several projects at once while meeting strict deadlines.
- SQL experience is a plus.
