Role overview
WSP is looking for an Information Manager to join its collaborative and sustainability-focused Information Management team in Leeds. The team supports a growing portfolio of projects and acts as a centre of excellence within the Earth & Environment discipline, offering project and information management expertise throughout the full project lifecycle.
This position offers the chance to work in a supportive environment while building your skills across a wide variety of high-profile infrastructure and environmental schemes across the UK. The work will involve helping to maintain strong information governance, improving project information flow, and supporting consistent standards in partnership with project teams and digital leads.
The projects covered by the team include major infrastructure and development programmes, with work spanning nationally significant initiatives in areas such as energy, transport, defence, and the built environment.
What you will do
- Help deliver information management activities in line with ISO 19650 requirements.
- Support the day-to-day use and upkeep of the Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Contribute to preparing and coordinating BEP, MIDP, and TIDP documents.
- Assist with managing information exchange needs across project teams and external stakeholders.
- Work with BIM Managers and Digital Leads to implement project information standards and procedures.
- Follow a security-aware approach to data handling, including access control and governance.
- Advise and support teams in using information management tools and processes.
- Take part in quality assurance checks to help ensure compliance with agreed standards.
- Support the review, control, and release of project information such as drawings and models, following ISO naming rules.
What the team is looking for
You should bring experience from BIM or project information management settings, along with the confidence to communicate clearly in both face-to-face and digital environments. A collaborative mindset, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and solve problems are important for success in this role.
The role also calls for a degree in a relevant subject such as environment, project management, engineering, science, building, or quantity surveying, or equivalent experience and qualifications. Experience in a project or PMO environment, ideally across multidisciplinary teams, is preferred, along with practical knowledge of Common Data Environments and an understanding of ISO 19650 information management practices.
