Junior / Assistant Engineer - Electrical Power Plant

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation and upkeep of electrical systems used in the power plant.
• Keep generators, transformers, switchgear, MCC/PCC panels, and related electrical assets operating properly.
• Track electrical load sharing across the plant to maintain steady and uninterrupted power availability.
• Perform planned preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance according to the maintenance schedule.
• Diagnose electrical issues, find the cause of faults, and restore equipment as quickly as possible.
• Work closely with the operations and instrumentation teams to support safe plant performance.
• Follow electrical safety practices such as LOTO, PPE compliance, and permit-to-work procedures.
• Prepare shift reports, maintenance records, and equipment performance documentation.
• Assist during plant shutdowns and startups for electrical equipment and systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe working conditions in the electrical area.
• Support, guide, and supervise technicians and junior personnel in routine maintenance tasks.
• Contribute to root cause analysis for equipment failures and help implement corrective measures.
