Role overview
TAQA Distribution is seeking a Lead Internal Communications professional to design and run communication programs that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with business priorities. Reporting to the VP of Media & PR Relations, this position helps shape transparent two-way communication across the organization and supports a workplace culture built on collaboration and shared values.
Core accountabilities
- Implement internal communication plans that reinforce company objectives and strengthen employee engagement.
- Develop content for internal channels such as newsletters, the intranet, and town hall sessions, making sure messaging remains consistent with corporate positioning.
- Work closely with senior leaders to communicate major initiatives, organizational changes, and important updates to employees.
- Encourage open dialogue between teams and management by creating channels for feedback and participation.
- Review employee sentiment and engagement data, using insights to refine communication approaches over time.
- Coordinate internal crisis communication so employees receive clear, timely, and accurate information during uncertain situations.
- Coach managers on effective communication techniques that help improve morale and team connection.
- Ensure all internal messaging follows company policies, standards, and procedures.
General governance and reporting
- Work in line with the operational approach and the group delegation of authority policy.
- Follow organizational policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls so work is delivered in a compliant, efficient, and cost-conscious way.
- Prepare reports on time and in accordance with company standards and requirements.
- Compile periodic management and progress reports to keep senior leadership informed and support decision-making.
- Meet all organizational reporting and compliance requirements within the required timelines.
People leadership
- Demonstrate continuous improvement, integrity, and transparency in day-to-day leadership.
- Support talent development activities that build skills and enable career growth.
- Help create a team culture that reflects the organization’s wider purpose.
- Promote the company’s values and encourage a collaborative, innovative environment.
- Enable clear communication across the team and with stakeholders so decisions align with business goals.
HSE, security, and risk obligations
The employee is expected to comply with all health, safety, security, and risk management rules and procedures communicated by the company. This includes taking reasonable care of personal safety and the safety of others, cooperating with management on protective measures, escalating any hazard or risk that cannot be resolved independently, reporting HSE and security incidents as well as work-related injuries, and avoiding intentional or reckless misuse of workplace safety or welfare resources.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a closely related field is required.
- A master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- Between 6 and 9 years of relevant professional experience is expected.
- Arabic language skills are preferred.
