Role overview
The Logistics Officer will help run logistics activities for Innovo MEP, with a focus on handling delivery paperwork and arranging the movement of materials and equipment to project locations.
Key accountabilities
- Prepare and process delivery notes, transport requests, and shipment tracking details.
- Liaise with drivers and transport vendors to organise deliveries to site.
- Keep logistics files, delivery registers, and customs records up to date.
- Make sure delivery and customs documents are properly stored and easy to retrieve for audits.
- Escalate delays or mismatches in delivery details to the Logistics Coordinator.
- Follow up with transport partners to clear documentation issues or delivery variances.
- Check delivery timelines with site teams and storekeepers before materials arrive.
- Support unloading and material handover at site, including checking quantities against the delivery note.
Vehicle and equipment tracking
- Monitor vehicle allocations and usage to help with effective delivery scheduling.
- Keep records of vehicle servicing plans and availability for logistics planning.
Innovation and value creation
- Identify and suggest updated tools, technologies, and workflows that can improve speed, visibility, and efficiency.
- Promote fresh ideas that help cut costs while maintaining quality.
Qualifications, experience, knowledge, and skills
- A diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business is required.
- Previous experience of 1 to 3 years in logistics is preferred.
- Strong organisational ability and clear communication skills are needed.
