Key responsibilities

  • Support the Outlet Chef or Outlet Manager in keeping kitchen and service activities running efficiently.
  • Prepare food, cook menu items, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas.
  • Deliver food quality that meets customer expectations.
  • Help plan staff duty rosters and support food preparation and cooking activities.
  • Assist with weekly food ordering and stock planning.
  • Minimise food waste during preparation and production.
  • Participate in people-management decisions involving hiring, discipline, termination, performance review, and rewards.
  • Gather and review feedback from customers and staff, then use practical suggestions to improve operations.
  • Track outlet expenses and keep costs within budget, while updating the Area Manager on any variances or budget changes.
  • Plan daily service crew schedules, ensure adequate staffing, and control labour costs.
  • Organise staff stations each day and oversee outlet operations.
  • Serve customers when needed and support front-of-house operations.
  • Handle cashiering tasks, balance the cash register, and deposit cash daily.
  • Manage cash flow and petty cash disbursements.
  • Address customer complaints and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Take on any additional duties assigned by management.
