Role overview

Rockfort Contracting W.L.L. is hiring a seasoned MEP Draftsman for a full-time position based on-site in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on producing accurate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings for building construction projects, along with updating and refining technical documentation as work progresses.

What you will do

• Develop detailed MEP drawings for building construction projects.
• Prepare and update electro-mechanical shop drawings.
• Revise technical and engineering drawings to match project changes and requirements.
• Use CAD tools to create precise and project-ready documentation.
• Work closely with engineers and project teams to maintain design accuracy.
• Ensure drawings align with project specifications and applicable standards.

Skills and experience needed

• Solid hands-on ability in preparing shop drawings for electro-mechanical systems in building construction.
• Strong background in technical drafting and engineering design.
• Practical expertise with CAD software.
• Careful attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Good understanding of MEP design principles and construction methods.
• Knowledge of Kahramaa and Ashghal rules and standards for building projects.
• Clear communication and strong teamwork skills.

Candidate profile

The employer is looking for a Qatar resident who has an NOC or a transferable visa. Applicants should hold a relevant diploma or degree in engineering, drafting, or a related discipline. Experience in the building construction sector is strongly preferred.
