Officer - Quality Control

Job purpose

This position plays a key role in helping Saudia Cargo build, apply, and maintain quality control practices that align with company requirements, aviation rules, and recognized industry standards. The role centers on overseeing cargo operations, participating in audits, and working with internal and external stakeholders to improve service quality, operational performance, and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating and rolling out quality control procedures in line with company policies, aviation requirements such as IATA, ICAO, and GACA, and accepted best practices.
• Review quality-related records and confirm the correctness of inspection reports, audit results, and compliance documentation.
• Help track supplier and vendor performance to ensure third-party providers meet required quality and safety expectations.
• Support the review of customer feedback and service metrics, and help address issues that affect customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to maintaining compliance with local and international regulations by taking part in routine audits and evaluations.
• Compile and present detailed reports on audit outcomes, quality checks, and corrective actions for management review.
• Inspect cargo handling activities regularly to spot gaps and support continuous improvement in quality standards.
• Gather and assess operational data, quality indicators, and compliance results to identify patterns and improvement opportunities.
• Help train employees on quality control processes, safety rules, and good operational practices to strengthen a quality-focused culture.
• Coordinate with Operations, Warehouse, Logistics, and OCC teams to ensure quality expectations are embedded across cargo handling processes.
• Support the creation and revision of SOPs to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Assist in investigating quality issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
• Help ensure all relevant safety and regulatory standards are met through audits and assessments as needed.
• Check operational invoices, including block hours, HOTAC, catering, landing, overflight, and other related charges.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or an equivalent qualification.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in the same field or a closely related area.

This is an on-site, full-time role based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves cross-functional coordination, documentation review, auditing, operational monitoring, and support for continuous improvement initiatives in cargo quality control.
