Role Summary
This full-time position is based on site in Accra and is responsible for keeping day-to-day store activity running smoothly while maintaining a high standard of service. The Operations Supervisor will coordinate team schedules, allocate tasks, monitor performance, and help ensure the store operates efficiently and consistently.
Key Duties
- Oversee routine store operations and support a positive customer experience.
- Create staff schedules, distribute work assignments, and follow up on performance.
- Monitor stock availability, assist with replenishment, and help maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Support merchandising activities and the execution of store layout plans.
- Manage store opening and closing routines.
- Make sure day-to-day work follows company procedures and standards.
- Address operational concerns promptly and escalate issues when needed.
- Prepare basic reports, review key performance indicators, and share updates clearly with both staff and management.
Qualifications
- Applicants should bring strong team leadership abilities, including coordination, coaching, and performance tracking.
- Practical experience in operations or operations management in retail or a similar customer-facing environment is needed.
- Solid analytical ability is important for reviewing sales, stock, and performance information to support informed decisions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are required for dealing with colleagues, customers, and management.
- Strong time management, prioritization, and accuracy in a busy setting are important.
- Experience using basic POS systems and Microsoft Office or comparable software is expected.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Prior supervisory or team-lead experience in retail or hospitality will be an added advantage.
