직무 설명

Role overview

This part-time on-site Physiotherapist position with NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is focused on leading the rollout of a Falls Prevention Service in Havering. The role requires someone who can drive and travel across the BHR borough. You will work with a wide range of staff and agencies to embed falls prevention practice, improve patient assessment and treatment access, and help create a better experience for patients.

The post calls for a strong background in healthcare delivery, practical understanding of falls management challenges, and experience of supporting change management work. You should also have knowledge of service improvement methods, falls prevention approaches, and the confidence to work with a high level of professional independence while using national guidance and research to inform recommendations on falls and bone health.

Main duties

You will manage a specialist caseload that may include people with complex needs, carrying out thorough assessments, delivering and reviewing therapy input, creating individual treatment plans, and arranging safe discharge where appropriate. The role demands sound clinical judgement, strong communication, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy community setting.

As an autonomous practitioner, you will complete holistic assessments that take into account physical, psychological, social, and environmental factors that contribute to falls risk. You will also provide falls prevention advice and education to patients, relatives, carers, and healthcare colleagues, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure joined-up care.

Other core responsibilities include keeping clear and up-to-date clinical records in line with Trust policy, supporting service development, taking part in clinical audit and quality improvement activity, and contributing to health promotion work. Compliance with HCPC standards, CSP expectations, and clinical governance requirements is essential.

Additional information

New starters at NELFT are welcomed through a structured induction process. Employment begins on the first Monday of each month, and the induction can last for up to two weeks. It includes mandatory training, systems training, equipment allocation, and opportunities to meet senior leaders and attend sessions on engagement, wellbeing, and key internal processes. Induction takes place at the Trust head office in Rainham, Essex.

This appointment is subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are normally exempt, unless they are already part-way through probation or are currently bank staff.

The role attracts a High Cost Area Supplement for Outer London locations including B&D, Redbridge, Havering, Waltham Forest, and Goodmayes. The allowance is 15% of the basic salary, with a minimum of £4,870 and a maximum of £6,137 per year, pro rata for part-time working.

Working for the Trust

Joining NELFT means becoming part of a supportive environment with a strong focus on staff wellbeing, equality, and development. It operates across North East London and Essex, providing community and mental healthcare services for adults and children.

The Trust highlights its award-winning equality and diversity initiatives, health and wellbeing support, staff networks, and learning opportunities. It is a Level 3 Disability Confident Leader, has been listed in the Working Families Top 10 Employers benchmark for five consecutive years, and holds Carers UK Level 1 Accreditation.
