About the role

In this position, you’ll help keep store operations running smoothly while making sure customer expectations are met or exceeded. Your work will span different areas of the store, so each day will bring something different. Tasks may include replenishing shelves, using tills, managing stock levels, and picking deliveries. Whatever the task, the focus is on helping customers get what they need quickly and efficiently.

The ideal candidate brings a positive, practical approach and takes pride in delivering strong service. You should be ready to go the extra mile whenever customers need support.

Key responsibilities

You will be accountable for accurately picking and preparing goods for dispatch, using a handheld terminal to match items and alerting the manager to any discrepancies.

You’ll also check product quality, remaining shelf life, and packaging strength to ensure items are suitable for delivery.

A high level of customer service is expected, including processing deliveries efficiently and working to target.

When interacting with delivery drivers, you should remain courteous and handle questions or complaints appropriately, escalating more complex issues to the right person.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need a positive, proactive attitude and be comfortable working to set pick-rate targets.

A strong commitment to customer service and a willingness to do more than expected for shoppers is essential.

You should also be punctual, consistently presentable, and reliable.
