The business serves customers across Limerick, Cork, Kerry, Clare, Tipperary, and surrounding areas. Due to continued expansion, the company is seeking an experienced, well-organised Plumbing Manager to take ownership of the plumbing section and support efficient day-to-day yard operations.
Role Overview
This is a practical, customer-facing position where you will lead the plumbing department, keep inventory under control, support sales growth, and deliver a high standard of service. The role calls for solid plumbing product knowledge, leadership ability, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer knowledgeable guidance to customers on plumbing products and suitable solutions.
- Oversee inventory levels, raise purchase orders, and coordinate with suppliers.
- Keep the plumbing area tidy, organised, and adequately replenished.
- Coach and assist team members in product knowledge and selling techniques.
- Respond to customer questions, complete sales transactions, and provide post-sale assistance.
- Keep informed about market developments and newer plumbing technologies.
- Collaborate with management to meet sales objectives and support business growth.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar plumbing-and-sales role, along with strong product knowledge. You should be highly organised, capable of managing several tasks at once, and comfortable driving sales while maintaining attractive displays. Good communication and people skills are essential, as is a friendly, professional, and practical approach to problem-solving. Confidence using computer systems for stock control and ordering is also important, along with the ability to stay effective in a busy, pressure-filled environment.
What the Employer Offers
The successful candidate will receive a competitive pay package and the chance to work in a supportive, fast-moving workplace.
