Processing Officer - Forklift

About the role

Join the Hawke’s Bay operations team in a newly built site on Tomoana Road, where parcel and freight processing supports deliveries across New Zealand. This position is part of the team that sorts, combines, and sends parcels onward for courier delivery. It’s a hands-on role in a busy environment, with a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and accuracy.

You’ll spend up to 6 hours in each shift operating a forklift, so practical experience, a professional approach, and careful attention to health and safety are essential.

Working hours and pay

• Pay rate: $26.75 per hour
• Forklift allowance included
• Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
• Work location: Tomoana Road, Hawke’s Bay

What the role involves

The job centres on moving parcels and freight efficiently through the processing site so that couriers can deliver them on time. The work is active, physical, and requires a strong commitment to safe operating practices.

What you’ll need

You should be available for the full Monday to Friday afternoon/evening schedule and be comfortable with a physically demanding role. A good eye for detail and solid geographical awareness will help you succeed in this position.

Forklift and driving requirements

• A current F endorsement or a valid OSH certificate along with a restricted driver licence
• Forklift operating experience
• Ability to drive a forklift for several hours per shift
