Role Overview
The Product Manager will help define feature problems, shape product-market fit, and position solutions effectively. The role involves turning business challenges into clear product directions, collaborating with subject matter experts, clients, and internal teams, and using research, feedback, and creative thinking to identify practical solutions.
This position also covers process mapping, user journey design, data flow documentation, interface creation aligned to Avasant design standards, and coordination with development and testing teams through the full SDLC. In addition, the role includes product messaging, release documentation, training material creation, marketing support, demos, and support for pricing, RFI/RFP responses, and client-facing presentations.
Responsibilities
- Define and structure product problem statements and feature ideas.
- Evaluate product-market fit and shape the product positioning strategy.
- Research potential business solutions using input from SMEs, stakeholders, customer feedback, market competitors, and independent analysis.
- Create process flows, user journeys, and data flow diagrams, and refine them based on review cycles.
- Design user interfaces in line with Avasant’s standard design principles.
- Partner with development teams on API integrations, machine learning, deep learning, and infrastructure improvements where needed.
- Coordinate with development and testing teams to ensure features are built, tested, and released according to SDLC practices.
- Develop product messaging, release notes, user guides, and related training documentation.
- Work with marketing to prepare collateral, promotional assets, and supporting materials.
- Deliver internal and client demos and train stakeholders on newly launched features.
- Maintain product documentation for both internal business use and client-facing needs.
- Support leadership with pricing, RFIs, RFPs, and prospective client demos.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree along with 4 to 6 years of experience in product management.
- Interest in evaluating how emerging technologies and innovation affect different industries.
- Experience with tech industry analyst firms or B2B SaaS companies is a plus.
- Understanding of enterprise SaaS or workflow platforms; deep technical development expertise is not mandatory.
- Exposure to ServiceNow is an added advantage.
- Strong ownership mindset with a commitment to quality and deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with product, engineering, and client-facing teams.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment across multiple time zones and geographies.
