Role overview
This position supports regional programs connected to student activities, educational curriculum, content and standards, Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC), and interscholastic athletics. The role is based in Peachtree City, Georgia and is a full-time on-site government position.
What you will do
- Assist with regional student activity initiatives and related educational programs.
- Draft policy letters, guidance memorandums, and other formal correspondence.
- Help plan and coordinate events, including oversight of facilities when required.
- Manage and maintain databases that support organizational decision-making and reporting.
- Write analyses, plans, and reports for internal and higher-level review.
- Oversee the budget for the Student Activity Program.
- Prepare correspondence for review by senior military and congressional stakeholders.
- Review systems and procedures used to carry out administrative work across the organization.
- Perform oversight reviews of student activities programs.
- Develop inventory systems for supplies and equipment.
- Support compliance with athletic program policies and safety standards.
Conditions of employment
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement related to Selective Service.

- Pay must be routed through direct deposit.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Appointment is contingent on a suitability and fitness determination based on a background investigation.

Who may apply
Only candidates who qualify under one of the listed federal hiring authorities are eligible. These include current DOWEA civilian employees, current DoW civilian employees, domestic defense industrial base or major range and test facilities base civilian workforce members, ICTAP candidates, LMWF A candidates, non-DoW transfer candidates, eligible PPP candidates, VEOA candidates, and other specified preference or transfer categories.
Qualification requirements
Applicants must qualify through experience. The role requires one year of specialized experience that includes coordinating events, preparing studies, and drafting higher-level correspondence such as audits, memorandums, and policies. This experience should be comparable to work performed at the GS-11 level in federal service. Education cannot be used in place of experience for this grade. If you have held a General Schedule position within the last 52 weeks, you must have completed 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

- The stated salary includes locality pay or a local market supplement.
