Role Summary
The Project Director for Tag Singapore is responsible for ensuring delivery runs smoothly, profitably, and to a high standard. This role focuses on how work gets executed: removing friction, improving operating processes, strengthening governance, and finding better ways to support client needs. The position leads delivery and operational execution for the Singapore studio and acts as the senior local leader for project management and delivery operations.
The role connects client teams, studio operations, production, resource management, and regional delivery leadership. It is accountable for delivery excellence across active workstreams and for building the systems, behaviours, and governance needed to help the studio scale. The Project Director is expected to shape the delivery model itself by improving standardisation, forecasting, commercial discipline, automation, and overall team performance.
Success in the role is measured by delivery outcomes, client satisfaction, team engagement, profitability, and the maturity of operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Head the Singapore project management and delivery function.
- Set and maintain delivery governance across all live client programmes.
- Serve as the main local escalation contact for delivery risks and operational issues.
- Build a culture that values accountability and consistent delivery quality.
- Oversee the operational health of delivery work across the Singapore studio.
- Track delivery metrics and put improvements in place where needed.
- Bring consistency to project management methods and reporting practices.
- Lead ongoing process improvement efforts.
- Develop strong working relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Take part in governance reviews and strategic planning sessions.
- Improve client satisfaction in relation to delivery performance.
- Work with Studio Operations and Capability Leads on capacity and resource planning.
- Build forecasting processes and increase visibility into future demand.
- Support workforce planning and talent allocation.
- Ensure delivery forecasts are accurate and financial controls remain strong.
- Monitor project profitability and margin performance.
- Contribute to commercial solutioning and validation of delivery plans.
- Coach and develop Project Managers and Delivery Leads.
- Create capability frameworks and career development pathways.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and succession planning.
- Promote the use of workflow tools and AI-enabled delivery solutions for local clients.
- Partner with Innovation Lab and Product teams to identify improvement opportunities in market.
- Lead local and regional initiatives that increase efficiency and scalability.
Requirements
- Demonstrated background leading project management or delivery teams in marketing services, creative production, or content operations.
- Strong knowledge of delivery governance, programme management, and operational excellence.
- Clear commercial understanding, including forecasting, margin management, and resource planning.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience working in a regional or global delivery structure is preferred.
- Exposure to workflow technology, automation, or AI-based delivery tools is preferred.
- Formal project management certification such as PMP, Agile, PRINCE2, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
Key Performance Indicators
- Profitability through efficiency: achieve a positive operating margin by improving operational effectiveness.
- Delivery performance and governance: keep on-time delivery aligned with SLA expectations and maintain full governance compliance.
- Scope versus utilisation variance: manage the gap between sold scope and actual utilisation through strong operational oversight.
Key Relationships
This role reports to the Head of Delivery, JAPAC. Key working relationships include the Head of Delivery, JAPAC; Regional Operations Director; Regional Resource Director; Project Managers; Studio Ops Directors; Studio Teams; Singapore Country Lead; Account Leads; Account Teams; Senior Client Stakeholders; Singapore Growth Directors; and teams across HR, TA, Finance, and IT.
