About the Company
Cotswold Energy Group operates in a fast-growing decarbonisation sector, delivering renewable energy solutions to domestic and commercial customers. The organisation designs and installs renewable energy systems such as ASHP, GSHP, WSHP and solar PV, together with related building services. Its client base spans public and private sector work, with projects covering homes, commercial premises, leisure facilities and education settings.
Role Overview
The company is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial renewable energy projects, with a particular focus on heat pumps and solar installations. A background in commercial M&E, renewable energy or construction would be especially relevant. This position covers the full project journey, from order placement through to handover and follow-up, and offers the chance to work on varied projects within a socially responsible business.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with clients, run meetings to clarify requirements and maintain satisfaction throughout delivery.
- Create and refine project plans with stakeholders, identifying risks early and putting practical controls in place.
- Work across departments to make sure people, materials and tasks are aligned with project timelines.
- Partner with technical and design teams to define scope accurately and deliver work to a high standard.
- Handle procurement activity and coordinate subcontractors so equipment and services arrive on time and to specification.
- Explain any scope revisions to clients and ensure variations are recorded where required.
- Monitor budgets and financial performance with support from the commercial team so project targets are achieved.
- Run regular project meetings to track progress and resolve issues promptly.
- Provide consistent updates to senior leaders and clients through clear reporting.
- Maintain health and safety compliance across all stages of the project.
- Complete and submit all required regulatory, client and internal documentation within deadlines.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in project management.
- Sound knowledge of commercial project management methods and best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organisation.
- Prior experience leading teams would be an advantage.
- HND or above in an engineering-related discipline or engineering project management.
