Project Manager / Scrum Master

Role Overview

This position is for an experienced Project Manager / Scrum Master based in Toronto, Ontario. The role focuses on planning, directing, and delivering projects across cross-functional teams while working within Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Set the project boundaries, objectives, deliverables, and measures of success.
• Create detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate and guide teams working across different functions.
• Monitor progress against plan and make adjustments when required.
• Identify project risks and issues early, then put mitigation actions in place.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and manage their expectations.
• Support quality control and ensure governance practices are consistently applied.
• Prepare and share updates on project status, milestones, and financial performance with leadership.
• Handle change requests and prevent uncontrolled expansion of scope.
• Close projects in a structured way and complete post-implementation reviews.

Skills and Tools

The role requires strong experience in project management, familiarity with Agile/Scrum/Waterfall/Hybrid delivery methods, and hands-on use of tools such as MS Project, Jira, Asana, or Smartsheet.

Experience Required

A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is needed.
