Role overview
An established food manufacturing business in Dublin is seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join its Supply Chain team. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to develop further in a well-known FMCG environment that supports learning and career growth.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the buying cycle for a range of food ingredients and packaging materials.
- Create and oversee purchase orders for raw materials and ingredients entering the business.
- Track internal inventory levels so production always has access to the required products and ingredients.
- Partner with the forecasting and planning team to stay aligned with upcoming demand.
- Review order progress and delivery timelines to maintain the right stock levels.
- Spot potential process problems early and take steps to reduce future disruptions.
Requirements
- A qualification related to purchasing or supply chain would be beneficial.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a comparable role is required.
- Experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
