Role overview
Agiliad is hiring an experienced Python Test Automation Engineer in Pune for a full-time position. The role is focused on building dependable automation solutions for complex software products, with an emphasis on Python, Linux environments, and strong test framework development.

What you will do
- Create, improve, and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
- Build and refine automation frameworks for functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing.
- Run both automated and manual test scenarios, then review and interpret the outcomes.
- Partner with development teams to understand requirements and ensure broad test coverage.
- Test and troubleshoot issues in Linux-based environments, including system-level problems.
- Prepare and upkeep test plans, test cases, and automation-related reports.
- Log defects clearly and follow them through to closure.
- Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
- Work with cross-functional teams to strengthen product quality and improve testing workflows.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate should have 5 or more years of experience in software testing and automation, along with solid Python programming skills. Hands-on familiarity with automation frameworks such as PyTest or Robot Framework is important, as is comfort working in Linux or Unix environments.
We are also looking for experience in API testing, exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions, and working knowledge of Git. A strong grasp of SDLC and Agile practices, along with excellent debugging and analytical ability, is expected.
Education
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
