About the Role
Kerr Industries is seeking a careful, dependable Quality Inspector to join its Oshawa team. The company specializes in transforming new vehicles into police and emergency units and has been doing so since 1952. With operations in Texas, Chicago, Michigan, and Oshawa, the business is focused on innovative solutions, customer satisfaction, and continued growth in the North American upfitting market.
Job Overview
This position is best suited to someone who is highly attentive to detail, comfortable in an industrial setting, and prepared for physically demanding work. The role involves frequent standing, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling. At times, field work may also be required, along with changing work schedules and overtime. Candidates should be reliable, eager to learn, and able to attend work consistently. Full training will be provided.
Key Duties
- Carry out interim and final checks on upfitted vehicles.
- Verify that every option listed on the work order has been installed correctly.
- Review build documentation to confirm that vehicles match Kerr and customer specifications.
- Maintain a strong focus on accuracy and quality throughout the inspection process.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this role is $25.00 to $27.00 per hour, with final compensation based on experience. The package also includes health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as paid vacation.

- Prior experience in a quality-oriented position.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workmanship standards.
- Good organization and problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and email tools.
