About the role
Serco is looking for a Rostering Coordinator to join the Operational Support Centre (OSC) in Adelaide. This position plays an important part in keeping rosters optimised across contracts so that teams stay supported and day-to-day operations continue without disruption. The role suits someone who is proactive, highly organised, comfortable with change, and able to work closely with a range of stakeholders to support real-time decisions.
This is a full-time onsite position with rotating shifts scheduled between 7:00am and 10:36pm, seven days per week. Flexibility is essential because the roster covers extended operating hours across the week.
What you will do
- Coordinate workforce management activities to keep staffing arrangements aligned with operational requirements.
- Adjust staff rosters and allocate people across multiple sites as business needs change.
- Ensure all roster updates are completed accurately and within the required timeframes.
- Support gap filling by backfilling vacancies when needed.
- Help train team members on workforce management systems and related tools.
- Analyse performance information to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with internal stakeholders to make informed, real-time decisions.
- Respond to and resolve queries related to central support and workforce management systems.
- Act as a first point of contact for users of the workforce management platform.
- Build productive working relationships across the OSC and with other teams.
- Spend around 60% of your time on workforce management, 20% on performance analysis, and 20% on triaging phone queries.
