About the role

This student-focused role sits within one of the colleges at Bedford Park and supports the planning and delivery of the University’s academic timetable. The work includes gathering, entering, checking and analysing timetable data, managing timetable updates, and helping resolve changes as they arise.

As part of a capable team, you will also oversee class management processes, support activities connected to academic staff engagement, and take part in regular reviews and inspections of teaching spaces. The role also contributes to ongoing process improvement.

Key duties

  • Build and sustain productive working relationships with academic and professional staff, while providing responsive customer service, guidance on policies and procedures, and advice on class timetabling, class management and central teaching room bookings.
  • Coordinate the annual timetable data collection process and support teaching staff in providing information by required University deadlines, while working with colleges to improve timetabling practices and outcomes for students.
  • Help maintain Clash Free Pathways that support an optimised timetable, and keep topic, topic availability, topic coordinator and teaching team information accurate in the student system.
  • Support class management tasks such as monitoring waitlists, preparing reports, handling special circumstances requests, and resolving student class registration issues, while helping students understand how to get the most benefit from their timetable through communications and guidance materials.
