Role overview
Vitaco is seeking a seasoned Senior Systems Analyst to take charge of service desk activities, infrastructure support, and ongoing improvements across the information systems environment in Auckland. This is a permanent, full-time, hands-on position focused on delivering dependable IT operations, protecting system stability, and creating a smooth experience for users across the business.
You will collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and broader IS colleagues to strengthen service quality, resolve issues effectively, and support core business systems.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the main escalation contact for IT support matters, providing support across levels 1 to 3.
- Oversee service desk workflows so incidents and requests are handled in line with SLAs and business priorities.
- Keep infrastructure running across both on-site and cloud-based environments, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and end-user devices.
- Use root cause analysis and continuous improvement methods to investigate and solve recurring problems.
- Manage asset lifecycles, device rollouts, and configuration standards for hardware and systems.
- Work with vendors and key stakeholders to deliver stable IT services and practical solutions.
- Contribute to IS projects, enhancements, and change activities.
- Coach junior colleagues and support team knowledge through documentation and sharing of best practices.
What you need
- At least 5 years of experience in IT support or systems analysis within a corporate or SME setting.
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows, Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, Exchange, and SharePoint.
- Good understanding of infrastructure and networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, firewalls, WLAN, and Active Directory.
- Strong troubleshooting capability, structured problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to improving processes and systems.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders with a customer-first mindset.
- A tertiary qualification in IS/IT or equivalent practical experience; ITIL or other relevant certifications are an advantage.
