The position involves supporting SEO strategy through hands-on work such as keyword research, search trend analysis, content gap review, technical site audits, external brand asset audits, page-level recommendations, competitive analysis, implementation briefs, and performance reporting.
Strong knowledge of the search marketing landscape is important, especially across keyword and content strategy, technical considerations, and off-page evaluation. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems while building consulting and SEO expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate client organic growth and marketing goals into SEO execution aligned with the direction of the SEO Lead or Manager, taking into account the client’s products, industry, and business priorities.
- Carry out keyword research and thematic grouping based on intent, topic clusters, and actionable insights using both first-party and third-party data. This includes approaches such as query fan-out methods, generative AI, and changing search behavior.
- Review the search landscape to understand intent, competitors, and tactics that improve visibility across Google, Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, and similar platforms.
- Work with internal teams on strategy creation and execution planning across disciplines.
- Connect search behavior to landing pages, audit websites for visibility against priority keyword groups, and identify what content should be improved or created to meet search demand.
- Conduct technical performance reviews to uncover opportunities in areas such as page experience, accessibility, rendering, and overall UX for target audiences.
- Prepare page-specific recommendations and help build briefs for content optimization and new content creation.
- Partner with client or agency copywriters by sharing search insights, optimization needs, and growth opportunities.
- Review websites for technical problems that limit visibility and suggest fixes to address them.
- Remain open to testing new methods in a rapidly changing search environment, including advanced LLMs, GenAI, and emerging platforms.
- Assess paid search campaign and keyword performance as part of SEO analysis, and collaborate with paid search teams on an integrated search approach.
- Review brands’ external digital presence and recommend ways to strengthen overall brand presentation.
- Maintain SEO reports and dashboards, primarily in Google Looker Data Studio and Excel, using data from Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, and tools such as Semrush, AWR, Lumar, and Sitebulb.
- Keep up with new search opportunities, best practices, and industry developments.
- Support insight generation and action planning using both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
