Role Overview

The organization is looking for a dependable, experienced, and detail-focused Front Office/Facility Maintenance professional to support a busy site in Sumter, SC. This position blends administrative, housekeeping, and facility management work, and is well-suited to someone who works independently, stays organized, and can balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving, service-oriented setting.
Key Duties
- Handle front desk and guest-facing tasks while managing multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Welcome residents promptly and courteously, communicating clearly and providing helpful information such as meal times and nearby attractions.
- Use computer systems confidently to complete registration and enter accurate information into the property management system.
- Process check-ins and check-outs through reservation software.
- Issue room keys and keep key inventory organized.
- Support resident communication by managing messages and mail, and run errands as needed for camp operations.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents.
- Keep the office in good condition and professionally presentable.
- Record, route, and coordinate facility repair requests while maintaining professionalism with staff and residents.
- Carry out general labor, repair, and maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Document maintenance and repair activity according to recordkeeping standards.
- Assist with light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility upkeep work.
- Perform housekeeping duties and preserve the professional appearance of the property, equipment, and shared areas.
- Complete groundskeeping tasks such as lawn care, landscaping, painting, pressure washing, weed control, and trash collection.
- Report deficiencies and disturbances to the Camp Manager and help support resolution efforts.
- Perform scheduled property walks and respond quickly to calls.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong organization, troubleshooting, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers, including situations that require patience, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to gather accurate information and help resolve conflicts.
- Comfort working on your feet and moving throughout offices and buildings for extended periods.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Communication style that can be adjusted for supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Willingness to work outdoors.
- Flexibility to work outside normal scheduled hours or rotation patterns when operations require it.
- Willingness to travel on short notice for extended periods.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Additional Information
This position is part of the Logistics department and is based in Sumter, SC. Compensation is $20.00 per hour.
