Role Overview
AvePoint is hiring a Software Engineer in Singapore for a full-time onsite role. The position focuses on building modern web solutions, shaping system design, and delivering reliable code for production environments.
What You Will Do
- Create working prototypes that can showcase new technology opportunities.
- Design system architectures that support scalable product development.
- Develop and maintain production-ready software.
- Oversee deployments to cloud infrastructure and, from time to time, on-premise environments.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and actively exchange knowledge.
Skills and Experience We Are Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript-based web applications, including ES5/ES6.
- Background in building and maintaining APIs with Node.js is a strong advantage.
- Front-end experience with React.js is highly desirable.
- Practical exposure to automated testing with JavaScript testing tools such as Karma, Mocha, Chai, and Sinon is a plus.
- Familiarity with database use and administration, including both relational and non-relational systems, as well as working with data across environments, is advantageous.
- Feature testing experience using Selenium-based frameworks is a bonus.
- Exposure to modern build and tooling workflows using Webpack and Gulp is a bonus.
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipeline development, and deployment on cloud platforms such as AWS, PasSes, or private servers is desirable.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle in an Agile setting is helpful.
- Scrum experience is an added advantage.
- At least 2 years of experience, or an equivalent level of skill and confidence, working with modern JavaScript web applications.
