직무 설명
Overview
The FBI is seeking a special agent candidate with an education or teaching background for a role based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The position has been exempted from the federal civilian hiring freeze. In this role, you will use analytical thinking, data interpretation, and attention to detail to support investigations involving violent crime, cyber threats, terrorism, fraud, and other emerging risks to public safety and national security.
This is a chance to bring experience from education into federal law enforcement. The Bureau is looking for someone who can adapt quickly, think critically, and work across complex situations while growing within a career that offers professional development, strong pay, benefits, and a supportive environment.
How an Education/Teaching Background Fits the Role
Experience in education can translate well to investigative work because it builds the ability to process information, recognize patterns, organize details, and make sound decisions. Backgrounds that include teaching, tutoring, early childhood education, leadership development, machine learning, and Adobe Photoshop are referenced as examples of transferable experience that may help in the special agent path.
In this position, the skills you have used to interpret signals, support others, and manage complex information are applied to evidence, investigations, and decision-making that can affect outcomes. The role is framed as a transition from supporting work to taking ownership of what happens next.
Major Duties
- Lead and carry out investigations involving possible violations of federal law, cybersecurity matters, and public safety threats.
- Apply sound judgment, flexibility, and initiative to meet changing investigative needs.

- You must satisfy the FBI’s employment eligibility standards.
Education
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree or a higher qualification from a U.S.-accredited college or university, preferably in education or a related discipline. Official college transcripts are required to verify all degrees.
Application Materials
To submit interest, candidates must complete all sections of the application and attach every required document. A resume is required and must include relevant work experience with start and end dates. The resume must not be longer than two pages.
- Resume with relevant experience and date details
