Role overview
Dyno Nobel is hiring a Surface MPU Operator in Perth, Western Australia. This is a full-time, on-site FIFO role on an 8:6 roster, designed to support work-life balance. The package includes a base salary of $98,000 to $145,000 plus superannuation and additional benefits.
The position focuses on operating mobile processing unit (MPU) vehicles to deliver emulsion-based explosives for blasting activities on site. The role also includes supporting preventive maintenance, helping with troubleshooting, and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.

Key duties
- Operate MPU vehicles to support blasting operations and deliver emulsion-based explosives.
- Carry out pre-start inspections and weekly checks of equipment and assets.
- Assist with planned maintenance tasks and basic fault-finding.
- Support explosives-related site activities as required.
- Share practical knowledge with customers, clients, and operational crews.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and site teams.
- Consistently present a professional approach on site.
What you need
- Proven experience operating Mobile Processing Units.
- HR licence with manual synchromesh experience.
- National Police Clearance.
- Dangerous Goods Security Card.
- Dangerous Goods Driver Licence.
