Role Overview

The Engineering team is looking for a dependable Technician to help keep hotel operations running smoothly. This role is essential in supporting the upkeep and performance of the property’s facilities and equipment.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on technical experience, a practical maintenance mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a busy hospitality setting.

Key Duties

• Perform regular inspections, servicing, and repairs across hotel equipment and building facilities.
• Keep mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems operating efficiently.
• Act quickly on maintenance requests and diagnose technical faults.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce interruptions and downtime.
• Oversee HVAC, lighting, and other critical infrastructure systems.
• Help implement energy-efficiency measures and manage utility use responsibly.
• Follow established safety rules, operating procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, asset logs, and service schedules.
• Work with other departments to reduce any impact on guest comfort and service.
• Spot potential hazards or facility improvements and escalate them appropriately.

Candidate Profile

• A diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or a similar technical discipline.
• Relevant experience working as a Technician, ideally in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Solid understanding of building systems, maintenance methods, and fault-finding techniques.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to operate independently as well as contribute to a team.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to manage pressure and multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with safety standards and best practices used in hospitality operations.
