About The Ned Doha
The Ned Doha is a luxury hospitality destination set inside Doha’s former Ministry of Interior building. It brings together heritage character, refined design, and modern elegance to deliver a distinctive guest experience.
The property features seven dining venues, 90 guest rooms, event spaces, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club with a rooftop terrace, spa, gym, and a 30-metre outdoor pool. Together, these elements create a blend of history, creativity, and contemporary hospitality.
Role Overview
The Engineering team is looking for a dependable Technician to help keep hotel operations running smoothly. This role is essential in supporting the upkeep and performance of the property’s facilities and equipment.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on technical experience, a practical maintenance mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a busy hospitality setting.
Key Duties
- Perform regular inspections, servicing, and repairs across hotel equipment and building facilities.
- Keep mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems operating efficiently.
- Act quickly on maintenance requests and diagnose technical faults.
- Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce interruptions and downtime.
- Oversee HVAC, lighting, and other critical infrastructure systems.
- Help implement energy-efficiency measures and manage utility use responsibly.
- Follow established safety rules, operating procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, asset logs, and service schedules.
- Work with other departments to reduce any impact on guest comfort and service.
- Spot potential hazards or facility improvements and escalate them appropriately.
Candidate Profile
- A diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or a similar technical discipline.
- Relevant experience working as a Technician, ideally in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
- Solid understanding of building systems, maintenance methods, and fault-finding techniques.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to operate independently as well as contribute to a team.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to manage pressure and multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices used in hospitality operations.
